The band was formed
in the beginning of 2003, in Vanadzor(RA).
It was a kind of unbelievable "survival" of some
Vanadzor "unemployed"
musicians, ex-members of different bands. The main idea of
this recreation belonged to one of the prominent musicians
in Vanadzor, the founder and member of many rock projects
and bands Marat Avetisian. This young enthusiast is familiar
to the Vanadzor audience by the following rock bands: DELIS,
GENERATION-X, J.E.M...
The last one seemed to be his final stop (he used to perform
in different bands), but after he quit J.E.M.
everyone expected his appearance at a new band, as always
(for this behaviour he even deserved a dirty nickname-"musical
whore" among his musicians friends). But then there was
a long lasting silence and it was considered to be "the
end" of his in music.
So, EVEAPPLE was the result of his silence. But once he confessed
that he couldn’t find enough power of will to go on
with music, if not his friends.
Now Marat is full of creative ideas and tries to be more available
for his fans and music-lovers more than never.
Band members:
Marat Avetisian: vocals, guitar
Vahe Derderian: bass
Arman Asloyan: guitar, back vocals
David Grigorian: drums, percussions
As usual, Marat is mainly the author of songs (lyrics, music).
Arman is responsible not only for his guitar sound but also
for technical and music arrangements.
David and Vahe are known to the Armenian listener from "Alq"
& "Lav Eli". Performing
in Eveapple they give their rich experience and peculiarities
of rhythmic music.
The audience had the chance to enjoy this unordinary partnership
results in May 18 of 2003 at the Vanadzor Puppets Theatre…it
was the first solo concert of "eveapple".
What is "eveapple" ?
The title itself prompts that the main idea is taken just
from the well-known story of The Bible (expel of Adam and
Eve from Paradise). And eveapple is considered to be the sinful
apple which was the cause of human temptation and torment.
The musicians explain the relation between the apple and their
music in this way, "The music that we play carries a
little wildness and sounds like an uncorrectable sin which
was made out of the wild love towards the female".
What does "eveapple" sound like.
This is how Marat speaks about it, "So often I'm being
asked about the music style we play at. I think their can't
be any right definition to this question which would satisfy
our music-lovers. And I leave the choice to those who are
always with the right answer (he's smiling). But one thing
can be said...for sure...eveapple is something between soft
rock and blues squeezed into traditional rock, a mixture of
white lyrics and black rhythms, colored with the light shapes
of alternative music".
